Hi, I got a pascal.el file from Columbia U and I am trying to put it in my emacs so it will pick up the right mode file when I edit a *.pas file. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I know I have to edit the loaddefs.el to put the change in auto-mode-alist. I also have to put a load command in site-init.el, right? I tried both but when I remake emacs, I got a Pure Lisp Stroage Exhausted message during the dump. How can I solve it? I am doing this on an AT&T 3B2 600 running SysV. Thanks a lot. Lawrence P.S. I can be reached by att!bellcore!pyuxe!lawf.

System: Sun 3/50's running SunOS 4. Emacs: Gnu Emacs 18.53 with alot of loaded libaries in site-init.el. Our problem is that our new emacs can't be fork()ed. People have set their EDITOR env variable to emacs but find that mail, TeX, vn, and a number of other programs will NOT fork off emacs. Anyone with suggestions, please email them to me at the address below. Email is faster, easier, and people here are getting upset. Thanks for your help. -- Jason Coughlin ( jk0@sun.soe.clarkson.edu , jk0@clutx.BITNET )
