Hi,
I believe I have uncovered an inconsistency in dired. Here is how
I can make it happen. I know this is a little guess work but it will
consistently create the problem. I create an empty junk directory in my
home area i.e. mkdir ~/junk. Then I run dired on this directory. It comes
up and shows me just the '.' and '..' directory entries. I then proceed to
rmdir ~/junk in another window. If I now revert the directory i.e. do a
'g' in dired-mode I will get the directory listing from ~. All files
appear but of course can not be found when using the 'o' or 'f' commands.
