Let me describe the scenario first. 1. I have an alias declared in the file /etc/aliases (the program 'newaliases' has been run to update the alias database). This alias includes me as one of its recepients 2. I have set the variable vm-berkley-mail-compatbility to 'berkley-unix' by using vm-mode-hooks. 3. I have a Sun3/60 (diskless) running SunOS-4.0.3. The machine is running sendmail also. 4. The variable 'metoo' is set in my ~/.mailrc file. When I send mail from VM to this alias (which includes me) then I don't get a copy of the message. As a side note the 'ELM' mail user agent also exhibited the same problem. When I sent mail to this alias from shell using berkley mail user agent I got a copy of the mail. I tried looking in the VM software package and the standard mailutils.el and couldn't figure it out. Does anybody out there have any clue as to why this is happening. Thanks. -Anantha- ******************************************************************************* Anantha Padmanabha N.
