[gnu.emacs.bug] emacs 18.54 from csh scripts

  I am having a problem with gnu emacs 18.54, when it is invoked from a csh
script. It just results in : Stopped (tty output)
I am using 18.54 on a Vaxstation 2000, Ultrix 3.0. 
Is there a way to fix this problem?
