Emacs manual page states: FILES /usr/local/emacs/src - C source files and object files etc. As there's no standard place where emacs should reside (ours is in /p/gnu/lib/emacs-18.54 with a symlink from /p/emacs for easy access, or actually it's on /m/hd1g/gnu/lib/emacs-18.54, but that's another story) there should be a comment that local installations may have emacs in a different place. Or better yet, the manual page could be edited automagically by the configure process (config.emacs or the Larry Wall style COnfigure for emacs, anyone ?). Not a major bug, as GNU documentation is mainly in info format anyhow, but as we're trying to make our new workstation installation kindof perfect (ha!), this caught my eye ;-). //Jyrki
