Sorry to send this to the bug address, but it was the only one I could find. Anyway, I'm trying to get Gnu-Emacs (the VMS version) to access files on a different DECNET node than the one I'm running Gnu on. From what I read in VMSNOTES, this should work, but I can't seem to make C-x C-f do the job. I've tried both physical and logical pathnames of all shapes and forms with no luck. I also tried M-x ftp-find-file, which looked promising but still failed. The failure is always the same: Gnu claims that the file and directory don't exist. I verified that the files are accessable by using another editor (EDT) to read the files using both logical and physical pathnames. Could you suggest some other things to try? I'm more than happy to play around to find a solution if I have some direction. Thanks in advance.
