yes-or-no-p allows the user to quit from the query by typing C-g, y-or-n-p does not allow this, why? I would prefer that y-or-n-p also should be 'breakable'. This thing bites in many situations, e.g. M-x compile offers to save all modified buffers, and there is no way to< break out from the y-or-n-p (it is c-coded) to check my mail buffers etc. This happens in version 18.55, system is 386 with Interactive SYSV 3.2 with tcp/ip and nfs-software that provides som bsd-emulation. I just found that y-or-n-p also can be interrupted on a bsd-system (emacs-version 18.55), so this seems to be sysV problem??? I think former versions (maybe 18.52, I am not sure) behaved differently, but that may be, because the configuration of my system was different at that time (no tcp, nfs, etc.). Is this behavior a known problem? Is there any way that I can get the old behavior back? For more information, contact: jta@sah.vtt.fi (Juha Takala)
