This is odd.  I'd like to get confirmation of this bug from someone else
running Emacs under System V Release 3, or just System V in general.
Life runs fine on the BSD systems I use.

I'll consider adding it, but don't hold your breath waiting for it.  GNU
Emacs really isn't the tool for analyzing what's happening in the Life
simulation.  You're supposed to just look at the blinkin' lights... :-)
