Then invoke emacs with the '-nw' (no window).  I think this must be the
first option.  This feature is documented (rather obscurely) in
the emacs man page, not by itself, but in the documentation of the
'-d displayname' option--the second time the -d option is described.
I could not find the -nw option documented in info.
