In GNU Emacs 18.52.9 of Thu Feb 1 1990 on ittc (berkeley-unix)
I have also noticed another problem. And that is that if you perform a
case fiddle operation i.e. downcase-word and the word already is completely
lower case it still marks the buffer as having been modified even though it
hasn't actually done anything.
