Well, I have been trying to get GNU Emacs 18.55 up and running on a
NCR Tower32 700 and 650 running NCR's Unix System 5.3. And I have not
had much luck....
I fixed quite a few problems, (like it thought it had a symbolic link but
it really doesn't, plus many other bugs, i.e. not including certain files)
but it gets to the point of the command:
./temacs -batch -l inc-vers
And it memory faults and core dumps.
I get a :
*** Termination code 139
from the xmakefile......also I have looked at the temacs with 'sdb' and
have found out that it seems to be crashing when it does a basic strlen
or strcmp in the assembly code. I was wondering if anyone out there
has had this problem....and fixed it...or at least got it to somewhat
work.... Any help is appreciated, please post or reply via email.....
And please hurry.....'vi' really sucks.
