this is for rogue 5.3.
after you have picked up the amulet of yendor, when does haste monster
take effect? does it automatically happen when you go past level 30 or
right after you pick up the amulet? I needed to go down to pick up enough
food to return up and got killed on level 33 when I ran into a party room
without a scare monster scroll. i had just picked up enough food to return
but hadn't found the stairs at that level yet.
also when you are at experience level 17 and you quaff a gain level potion,
why does your experience points go all funny? do they use only a short
to hold the maximum experience points? I eventually made experience
level 21 by quaffing more potions.
