           Lectureship in Mathematics for Information Technology

The University of Bristol wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Mathematics for 
Information Technology. Applicants should have strong research interests 
in one or more  of the following areas:  logic programming, natural language 
and vision understanding, speech recognition, neural nets, and will be expected
to contribute to the mathematics teaching on the Computer Systems Engineering 
(CSE) Degree Course and, depending on their interests, to other mathematics
courses run by the Faculty. 

The Computer Systems Engineering Degree Course is run jointly by the
Departments of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering
and Engineering Mathematics.

The commencing salary will be at an appropriate point according to age,
qualifications and experience on the scale  9,816 to 20,469 pounds per annum.
