RESEARCH VACANCY University of Sussex, School of Cognitive and Computing Sciences Research Fellow: Computer Supported Collaborative Writing Applications are invited for a fellowship to develop an integrated model of the social processes of collaboration and the cognitive processes involved in writing. This model will inform the design of software to support collaborative writing. The project is funded by the Joint Council Initiative in Cognitive Science/HCI and the successful applicant will join a group, including a second research fellow, a research assistant and postgraduate students, investigating aspects of computer supported collaborative writing. Applicants should have experience at doctoral level of appropriate research in cognitive science, social science, or computer supported collaborative work. Experience in software design is desirable but not essential. The appointment, which will be till September 1992, will be on the Academic Research and Analogous Faculty 1A scale ((pounds sterling) 11,399 - 18,165, under review).
