                 COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
               IN THE SCHOOL OF COGNITIVE AND COMPUTING SCIENCES


Applications are invited for the post  of permanent Lecturer in Computer
Science and Artificial Intelligence from 1st October, 1991. This post is in
addition to the Senior Lectureship/Readership recently advertised in the same
School.

Applicants with  a track  record in  cognitive modelling,  computer vision  or
natural language processing will be especially welcome, though applicants with
skills in other areas of AI, or who have systems, algorithms or HCI skills  in
computer science will also be considered. The person appointed will expect  to
play a significant role  in managing the teaching  and research of a  thriving
group.

Initial salary will be on the Lecturer salary scale (A or B), L12,086-22,311
per annum (under review).
