Emacs will not create a backup file if you exit emacs by typing C-x
C-c (let's assume you type 'y' when emacs asks whether to save
modified buffers). This is not always desirable.
Question: Is this a bug or a feature? Is there a way to force emacs
to make backup files when exiting with C-x C-c ?
Also, as I understand it, Emacs will create a backup file (a 'twiddle
file') only the first time the file is saved each time the file is
visited. How can I force emacs to create a backup file *everytime* I
type C-x C-s?
I'm new to hacking Emacs code, so any pointers would be greatly
appreciated.
