I understand it is possible to set up an AST so that it can be delivered under the context of another process. I am partiularly interested in writing a routine which will attempt to set the process name of a process using $SETPRN within a loop, until the $SETPRN call is successful. Could someone please send me a brief description (FORTRAN programming examples DEEPLY appreciated) as to how this is accomplished? If there's enough interest, I'll summarize to the net. Sorry about posting to this group about something completely unrelated. Consider me appropriately flogged (;-).
