I occasionally have the misfortune of using Emacs via less than satisfactory communications methods, and I have several (hopefully) simple questions: 1) Does Emacs's display driver alter it's algorithm based on terminal speed? If so, how does one fake it out when the speed the local system knows has nothing to do with the speed of the destination terminal? 2) Does anyone have the equivalant of the "slowly" package that existed years ago for the TOPS-20 version of Emacs? 3) Is there any standard for re-mapping Control-S and Control-Q for those times that you just can't shut off that form of handshaking? (Again, I know there was one years back....) I also have an offer for anyone interested - I have slightly modified versions of "loadst.c" and "time.el" that allows the user to select a 24 hour time display instead of the normal 12 hour display. If any one is interested, let me know. Thanks in advance. - Dave Responses to: kindred@telesci.UUCP (...!princeton!telesci!kindred) -- EMail: kindred@telesci.UUCP (...!princeton!telesci!kindred) Phone: +1 609 866 1000 x222 Snail: TeleSciences C O Systems, 351 New Albany Rd, Moorestown, NJ 08057-1177
