[gnu.emacs] A few questions

asharpe@sco.COM (Andrew Sharpe) (09/29/89)

A few questions, if you will permit:

First question:
In shell mode, emacs attempts to figure out where you actually went
when you type cd. Unfortunately, it knows nothing about CDPATH, so it
gets confused quite easily. Has anyone modified shell.el to handle
this?

Second:
I use tabs quite a lot, but tags.el does not have the function
find-tag-tag, so consequently find-tag-other-window does not work.
I've looked through my entire GNU distribution tape, but this function
does not seem to be anywhere. I know it must be a fairly basic
function, but my emacs lisp knowledge is fairly poor. If someone out
there is willing to post the source to this function, I'd be grateful.

	Thanks,
