Greetings Netlanders! I tried to get this to post once, but it died somewhere ... I'll try again. Question: Is there a site that I can ftp ".el" files such as calendar for use with GNU Emacs 18.54? Idea: Since I am not a lisp programmer, I thought that I would just throw this out to see what kind of responce I would get. Is there... An emacs program (??.el) that would somehow allow remote news reading similar to that of "ftp-find-file". Of course a news-poster of similar type would be of great use also. Just a though... mitch@hq.af.mil -- ..mitch

tut.cis.ohio-state.edu:pub/gnu/emacs/elisp-archive/as-is/calendar.el
should do the trick.

tut.cis.ohio-state.edu:pub/gnu/gnus/3.12-??of10*, and
...:pub/nntp/nntp.1.5.6.tar.Z are what you're really looking for.
