I am using GNUemacs under X on a Sun. One feature I use frequently is the close button. I have a question for the GNUgurus out there. Is is possible for either a mouse button or keycombo to be bound to a funtion which will iconify (close) emacs? I guess I am really asking if the iconify function be written. If someone has a good way to do this, I would much appreciate an answer. brian oplinger@crd.ge.com <#include standard.disclaimer>

Before you add this to emacs - have you looked at your window manager's functionality? I use twm and therefore may specify actions for function keys 1-4. I have defined the action for pf1 to iconify the window in which the cursor is located. The nice thing is that this then works for all windows, not just emacs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Neitzel National Center For Atmospheric Research Box 3000 Boulder, CO 80307-3000 303-497-2057 thor@thor.ucar.edu Torren med sitt skjegg Thor with the beard lokkar borni under sole-vegg calls the children to the sunny wall Gjo'i med sitt shinn Gjo with the pelts jagar borni inn. chases the children in.
