I decided that a permuted index (as appears in UNIX manual) would be useful to stick on my wall while I learned memacs. Using the usual UNIX tools (awk, ptx, etc.) I have produced one, but it took a long time to do and I will have to go along the same path again if I change any of the bindings. I want to move over to gnu-emacs now, and knowing that there are so many well written utilites out there, and talented elispers also, has anyone produced such a thing? Would any one like to? email will be summarised --jon ps i have the relevent troff macros for ptx if anyone is interested.
