I found this bug (in 5.2), which is nasty.
1) when rogue starts up, it opens the top 10 file and LEAVES IT OPEN
2) a 'save rogue' saves the entire data area, including the open file structure
3) when the game is restored, the file structure may be totally WRONG if
   anything has touched the top 10 file since then

The proper fix requires the source, of course.
Otherwise, just be careful out there!
