[gnu.emacs] pseudo-tty problem with gnuemacs on apollo and X

rn@ap.co.umist.ac.uk (bob nutter) (09/11/90)

I've managed (finally!) to get GNU emacs 18.55 to compile at Apollo
sr10.1 with Leonard Zubkoff's 10.2 patches, but haven't been able to get
around the bug with the pseudo-ttys with X that stops input being echoed
to the slave pty until you move the mouse pointer out of the slave
window. I know this topic cropped up a fair while back, but I can't
remember if it got solved or not. Does anyone have a fix/workaround for
this? We don't want to go to 10.2 for (ahem) various reasons. This is
for 68k apollos running MIT X11r4.
