IT'S TOURNEY TIME !!!!
WATSFIC, the University of Waterloo Science Fiction Club, is
presenting another fine Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
Roleplaying Tournament. The dates to mark on the calender
are July 9th and 10th. The place is the Engineering Lecture
Hall at the University of Waterloo.
So, the next questions you might ask are when is it, and how
much does it cost. The tournament consists of two rounds of
play. There will be three sessions of the first round at
8AM, 2PM and 8PM on Saturday, July 9th. The top teams from
the first round will advance to the second round which will
be held on Sunday, July 10th at noon. Each round is four
hours in duration.
The cost of entry is a mere $4.00 per player. Players are
combined into teams of six players. If a full team of six
enters, each member will get a discount of $.50. This
discount is also available to any player who is a member of
WATSFIC.
Okay, so what's in it for you? Well, how about a prize?
There are prizes for players on the first, second and third
place teams. Since this is a roleplaying tournament, with
emphasis on roleplaying, there are also six prizes for the
best roleplayers. The prizes are as follows:
First: $21.00 Gift Certificate from Imperiums to Order
Second: $14.00 Gift Certificate from Now and Then Books
Third: $7.00 Gift Certificate from KW Book Exchange
Roleplaying: $7.00 Gift Certificate from A Small Bookshop
or $7.00 Gift Certificate from Excalibur Books
How do you sign up? Glad you asked. You can give me a call
at (519) 888-7146, drop in to the clubs room at the
University of Waterloo Campus Centre, or send some e-mail to
me at watmath!watbun!watsfic. All I need to know is who you
are, when is your preferred session for first round, and how
I can reach you to confirm your placement. The deadline for
signup is 8 PM Friday, July 8th.
