Actually, in 5.2 at least, NO monsters regained hit points. For Trolls and Vampires to regenerate, they should regain hits like a ring of regeneration; 1 hit point regained per move. I don't know if this was fixed for 5.3 or if all monsters regained 1 point per 20 moves or so, but T & V should heal much faster than the rest. Merlyn Leroy
