Has anyone been successfull in compiling the InterViews C++ graphics library (version that comes with X11R2 contrib and patched with diffs for g++ on prep.ai.mit.edu) with g++ 1.22.2? I have gotten as far as compiling libInterViews.a and libgraphic.a (with many warnings), and even compiling and linking some of the applications (i.e. dclock, alert, squares, graphics). NOTE: getting the libraries to compile required commenting out some code in g++ (which did not exist in version 1.22.1) that did not allow a derived class to access protected memebers of "grandparent" classes (i.e. C is derived from B, B is derived from A, C can't access protected members if A). The applications were linked with libg++ version 1.22.2. Running any of the applications resulted in displaying a window with nothing in it (just and empty border)! If anyone's gotten any farther than I have with this stuff, please let me know!!! Anything that you could send would be appreciated (i.e. diffs to g++ or InterViews, etc.). I'd especially like to hear from the author of g++. Thanks!!! -- * Isaac J.
