[gnu.g++] vptr "feature" of AT&T compiler

I've got some piece of software written at Apollo using the AT&T
compiler, which apparently supports the non-standard vptr
feature. Does anyone know whether an equivalent feature exists in
Gnu G++? How does one use it?
