[gnu.g++] Problem linking g++ program

I recently updated the gnu c++ version to use with
our recently installed system 4 on our suns.  Now
when trying to generate an executable module (during
the linking phase) I encounter the following message:
               
pf.o: Undefined symbol __DYNAMIC refrenced from text.

Any clues as to what it's talking about?
