It will last the whole game. (You will have a "strong aura" around your head, and nothing will be able to confuse you.) -- Reality is for those who have no imagination. . . b janz watmath!watarts!bjanz OR watmath!watdcs!bbjanz

Confusions usually last at least 20 turns and if he dont get you his replacement will! There are several methods but all depend on your circumstances. 1. Genocide scroll THE BEST!! 2. Scroll of teleport me (along with rod/wand of teleport him) are personal favorites of mine; follow with multiple rests until confusion clears. Warning: teleport me is the only(?) way out of trouble if you are caught 'on' a doorway between 2 nasties. 3. Do NOTHING ! Another favorite; just rest and drink healing as needed until confusion goes (You better have good armor for this). If in a passage, you can try fighting; as the chance of hitting him is MUCH improved. 4. Scare nasty, and Hold nasty scrolls are usable but dont forget to use rests, until confusion clears, BEFORE trying to move. HINT: Let him bang on you for a while first to allow time for other nasties to come into the room; later you get more for your buck! 5. Haste Self will do as a last gasp measure and cut down recovery time. I dont recommend it otherwise.
