Black puddings aren't that much trouble. They are gullible, you can drop them down a trapdoor quite easily. A wand of cancellation, or if a magician, a spell of cancellation, never seems to miss the the Black Puddings. A wand of drain-life can do a Black Pudding in normally in own shot, without splitting it. I use scrolls of genocide on the bloody Pit Fiends. They are the most obnoxious creatures around. You can't hold them, or drain their life, and most of the heavy magic items take repeated attempts to kill them. Most of my deaths in super-rogue are attributable to Pit Fiends. -- Ron Moore (818) 887-4950 Logicon, Operating Systems Division 6300 Variel Ave. Suite H, Woodland Hills, Ca. 91367 {ucbvax,ihnp4,decvax}!trwrb!logico!ron

Actually, Pit Fiends aren't that hard... If you can get up to level 20 or so, you should be pretty good so far so a little pit fiend wont be that hard. They are about the equal of a fire giant or a purple worm.... -- Ryan Ramsey UCLA Computer Science Department <---> ryan@ucla-locus.arpa ..!{sdcrdcf,ihnp4,trwspp,ucbvax}!ucla-cs!ryan Home Phone - (213) 391-2888
