[gnu.g++] #include <sys/resource.h> in newld.c

steve@hite386.UUCP (Steve Hite) (10/17/89)

   I'm trying to get G++ 1.36.0 to compile on Interactive 386/ix v2.0.2
and newld.c fails to compile because I do not have resource.h in my
/usr/include/sys directory. Is this unusual for a System V implementation
not to have this file?

   I got GCC 1.36.0 to compile and run with no problems. I am not using COFF
ENCAPSULATION. Someone told me that it was only necessary if I intended
to use the GNU binutils and the GNU symbolic debuggers. Am I required to
use COFF ENCAPSULATION in order to get the G++ to even work? I noticed that
the Makefile will not define -DUSG -DPORTAR -DNON_NATIVE if I've linked
tm.h to tm-i386v+.h instead of tm-i386gas+.h.

   As you can probably tell, I am new to GNU compilers. After having GCC
come up so fast I guess I was expecting G++ to be a breeze. Thanks ahead
to any 386/ix users who can help me out!

P.S. Could someone post Libg++ 1.36.0 to Ohio State (osu-cis)?, thanks.
