1. Is there meaning to "Yuk, this food tasted awful" ? (i.e., does the game's response to eating food have any meaning) 2. Is there any advantage to picking up (and eating) one's food ration, versus eating one's slime-mold? You get experience points when you eat. I think that when you eat food that tastes awful, you get more experience points than if you ate good food, but I'm not sure.

>1. Is there meaning to "Yuk, this food tasted awful" ? > (i.e., does the game's response to eating food have any meaning) You're expenrience increases 1 point in most versions. >2. Is there any advantage to picking up (and eating) one's food > ration, versus eating one's slime-mold? Eating a slime-mold (fruit) NEVER is awful, therefore there is no chance for the increase in experience. hou2e!ksl

Slime mold in the older versions, and juicy-fruits in ours doesn't last as long as regular food either.

> 1. Is there meaning to "Yuk, this food tasted awful" ? > (i.e., does the game's response to eating food have any meaning) In rogue 5.2 (5.x?), eating awful-tasting food garners you one experience point. Eating good food is something you do all the time (:-), so you don't get any experience for that. > 2. Is there any advantage to picking up (and eating) one's food > ration, versus eating one's slime-mold? Eating slime mold is, I believe, exactly like eating good food.
