[net.games.rogue] PC Rogue Help Needed

bolotin@uiucdcsb.CS.UIUC.EDU (12/07/85)

Does anyone know anything about the public domain Rogue for the
IBM-PC? I've played it to the point where I've found the amulet of
Yendor, but know I can't get out since I run out of food and die. I
gather that in the original Rogue, the amulet reduced your need for
food. Why isn't this true in the PC version? Or am I doing something
wrong??
     Please help!!

As I replied to the original posting by email, if the "public domain Rogue"
he's talking about is the same Rogue floating around the Chicago BBS's,
it's a pirate copy of the original PC Rogue release by Artificial
Intelligence Design. PC Rogue is now being marketed by Epyx with some slight
changes from the original. There is, however, a public domain Hack for the PC.
