Hi, I hereby thank all gnuru's (is thsi a new word?) who send me info on the speed of gcc generated code. Unfortunately there was little response on machines we have at our site Apollo, HP835, Alliant. I'd like to get gcc running myself on our Apollo (DN3000). Can anyone provide me with the configuration files I need? Now for something completely different. Since more and more people have parallel machines (like our Alliant), I wonder whether anyone is developing a parallizing C compiler for those machines? The one provided to us by Alliant is not very good.
