I sent a message out saying that I had a complete development environment
for the Intel *960* (nine-sixty), Intel's 32-bit RISC processor for the
embedded control market, and that this package includes gcc960 v1.36,
gas960, gld960, gar960, and gdb960, as well as the other a.out utilities,
a true public-domain C library, a runtime monitor, and some other stuff.
This is available from Intel as order number GNU960T, for about $200.
Deliveries will begin in mid-December. Intel does not currently offer
support for this package.

This package (sans binaries, printed manuals, and a few other things)
will be made available by anonymous ftp for those who can't even muster
$200.

I can't comment on availability of GNU software for the 860, other than
to suggest that you look in the gcc 1.36 release, which does include an
860 target.
