I've just set up ESIX (Everex's UNIX for the 386 -- claimed to be binary compatible with SCO XENIX/386) on a NEC 386/20. X11 is included with the package. I'd dearly love to set up as much of the GNU environment as possible on this machine, starting with the C compiler and going on to Emacs and Scheme. Has anybody out there done this already? I'm no Unix wizard (having dabbled in Version 7 some years ago), and can use the most explicit form of any suggestions. Thanks, Matthew Halfant
