I do not normally read this news group and I apologize if this has been covered recently. Has anyone compared gcc to the native C compilers for the MIPS R2000/3000 family. I wonder how different would be the SPEC marks if one used gcc? If this has not been done, would one except gcc to be as good as the highly optimized MIPS cc? Gautam H.
