[gnu.gcc] GCC 1.37 & VMS

STEVEW%tower-vax.city-poly.ac.uk@NSFNET-RELAY.AC.UK (02/22/90)

I download GCC 1.37 as directed from prep.ai.mit.edu uncompressed
detared and compiled using GCC 1.36 running on VMS 5.2. Compilation
went very smoothly no errors at all.

However, when I came to Install the new version of the Compilier using
my standard GCC_INSTALL.COM, GCC.EXE and GCC.CLD low and behold the
Pre - Processor return a fatal I/O error on output.

Do I need to adapt GCC.C distributed to run under VMS or should the
previous version and int corresponding .CLD file work?

Have I missed something trivial in the installation.

Has any one else managed to get it running under VMS?

Thanks for any replies /suggestions in advance
