[net.games.rogue] help/spoilers requested

[line eater, eat me]

I have reached level 122 (easy after reaching level 70), I have
8 artifacts (no idea what they do!), AC -20 (-15 is good enough in all
cases), >400 hp, level 23, etc...

This is using urogue version 1.02 (date unknown).

So what is next? How do I get out if this is the end? I tried
climbing up, but after 20 levels and 3 summoning, it gets boring.

So the question is: How do I finish the game?

Also if anybody out there knows, I am curious about the following:

1) What uses are the artifacts? (spoilers please, I have tried activating
them, but have never seen any possibility of any uses whatsoever)

2) What does the ring of adornment do? (I have been wearing it everywhere:
flea market, throne room, etc..., but nothing out of the ordinary
has ever happened, except finding more rings of adornment :-)

I would like also to warn any potential user about the following
bugs:

If you have quaff a potion of phasing and are standing on a wall
(or doorway) and if a monster throws a bolt at you and it misses, it will
keep on going through any walls it encounters resulting in the program
crashing at least 4 times out of 5. So never use a potion of phasing once
in dragon country.

If you use the wand of anti-matter, urogue has a tendency to lose
contact with the keyboard... But all is not lost:
	- the break key will work so that you could always quit :-) to
write your high score in the list.
	or
	- on Unix 4.2bsd, type ^Z and do
kill -HUP %1 This will kill (softly :-) urogue which
will then proceed to generate a save file,
				from which you can restart.

This trick can also be used in the preceding case if you are fast
enough to type ^Z or (break followed by ^Z) before the bolt crashes the
program ( I managed to do it once).

When using the wand of anti-matter in a throne room, if you are
standing close to a wall, the effect of the wand is surprising... Not
totally what you expected. (This is also a bug, but it doesn't crash
the program.)

	I hoped this helped,

						Alain
