Recently version 2.13 of UU(DE/EN)CODE programs by R.E.M was distrubuted. Unfortunately these programs don't work on my not so standard MS-DOS machine. They just hang up after startup and I have to reboot... Do these programs really have to be so dependent on IBM-PC hardware? Or where the problem is? (Do these programs go directly to video memory? Also, my MS-DOS machine doesn't return correct information on display card, when queried with the proper INT10). Would greatly appreciate, if the next version did something about this problem. Many other ms-dos programs work without any problems (like PC-MORIA, HACK, NETHACK, etc). (Should have perhaps mailed directly to the author, but I still cannot send mail from this system...) -- markku savela, msa@clinet.fi
