Well, I'd be glad to consider sending you the stuff

I'm perfectly willing to send out stuff to people in this area of the
US but I'm not going to make third parties incurr the costs of my
sending something all the way across the continent when someone much
closer can probably do it instead! And a signature that says "me at
U of M Math Department" isn't much of a clue as to where you are.
So if you request something, let us know where you are and don't
depend on the "From:" or the "Return-Path:" line to for it for you.
