(uucp) [decvax, ucbvax, allegra]!decwrl!dec-rhea!phdvax!laefsky Please forgive my ignorance, but I am new to this game. I have made several attempts to decode uuencoded and arced files in the comp.ibm.pc.binaries newsgroup with little success. I have tried two PC based version off uudecode (one from the UNIX COMMUNICATIONS book) and the other from Polytron PC shell (I have no version of UNIX that talks to the net). After apperent success with the UUDECODE, I have tried successively dearcing the files with ARC52, NARC, and PKXARC. None were able to accurately create runnable binaries from these files.
