[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Getting PICNIX parts

boneill@hawk.ulowell.edu (SoftXc Coordinator) (05/24/88)

For those of you still missing parts to PICNIX and do not have FTP
capabilities, you may request the parts via e-mail from the Software
Exchange mail server (UUServe) as follows:

Send mail to the following address:

			boneill@swan.ulowell.edu (or just ulowell.edu)
			{backbone}!ulowell!boneill

(This address is similar, but not exactly like my .sig)

Include a subject of 'server'

For text, put the following:

code ascii
send picnix.xx (where xx is the 2-digit part number, i.e. 01, 02)
send picnix.xx
...

As many as you need. This will continue until approx. June 10th, or response
dies.

If you wish, respond via Rnmail (or whatever) and I will forward to the
correct address.

boneill@hawk.ulowell.edu (SoftXc Coordinator) (06/10/88)

I will be extending my offer of sending PICNIX parts to people until the
20th. Instructions are below.

One person (tellabs5!lash) I was unable to send to. If this person could
contact me, I'll try to work something out.

To get the PICNIX parts from UUServe, do the following:

Send mail to boneill@swan.ulowell.edu or {backbone}!ulowell!boneill
Subject: server

For text, place the following:

code ascii
send picnix.XX (Where XX is the part you need)
send picnix.XX
...
code uu
send picnixup.arc (If you do not have the bug fix for mv, cp, etc.)

If you need all the parts, just have the following:

(no code statement necessary)
send picnix31.arc
send picnix32.arc
send picnix33.arc
(You do not need picnixup.arc, as the fixes are incorporated into these
three files)

If you know that the From line in mail will not return the mail to you, you
can precede any commands with the following:

address XXXXX (XXXXX is a valid address from any Internet location or
uunet, rutgers, harvard, or mit-eddie. I can hack it up
		if necessary)
