[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] Correction to PK36 bug report.

x2q@uunet.uu.net (Bougon, Michel) (06/18/88)

Correction to my PK36 bug report.

*Legitimate* hyphens in DOS filenames prevent PKXarc operation when they are
placed at the beginning of filenames. For example the file "--first.arc" or
"-first.arc" will not be dearced. Instead PKX displays a syntax tutorial.

Filenames that begin with hyphens are a very convenient way to make these files
appear at the top of directories (when sorted by filenames). I personally use
such names a lot.

Could Phil Katz release the patch address for PKXarc SwitchCharacter so that it
can be replaced by the standard DOS "/" character. Thank you.

At any rate, Phil Katz has provided us with another *great* product.
