Well, it looks like some of us (including myself) really showed our age on this one. Those of who were around back in '66 have waited a long time, but finally they're making the kind of movies we dreamed about back then. Unfortunately, T.V. has gone down the tubes (no pun intended). Here are the answers as I remember them. Some of your other ones may also be correct. It was a long series. 1) Robert Vaughn, David McCallum, and Leo G. Carroll. 2) Napolean Solo, Illya Kuryakin, and Alexander Waverly. 3) New York. 4) ["You are now entering an ordinary tailor shop. Or is it ordinary?" Remember? I'm surprised I did!] They went to a fitting room. The owner pressed the control of the steam press twice. They pulled the clothes handle on the wall, and the door opened. 5) Inverted triangles with U.N.C.L.E. on top and the number in the middle. 6) Fountain pens [which always started beeping in a crowded restaurant or movie theatre. Remember: "Open channel D (or A or B, etc.)"]. 7) The guns had silencers and fired tranquilizer darts [although they used real bullets in later episodes. T.H.R.U.S.H. weapons all had infra-red scopes, but they were lousy shots anyway.] 8) United Network Command for Law and Enforcement 9) T.H.R.U.S.H. 10) Technological Heirarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity. [This was from a book, to see who the REAL fans were.] 11) Waverly: No. 1 Sect. 1 (Command) Solo: No. 1 Sect. 2 (Operations) Kuryakin:No. 2 Sect. 2 (Operations) Score yourself, gang. Sorry if I posted this prematurely, but unfortunately I actually have to do some work on this thing. Now, if anyone can come up with a quiz on another great show, The Prisoner, with Patrick McGoohan. THAT would really be something! We could start another subscription called net.nostalgia. Steve Bratman
