Does any one know, and can let me know, the structure of the PK archive files? I have two reasons for wanting this information. First, and most urgent, I have a corrupt file that was archived using PKARC. I feel that it may be possible to recover some of its contents if I do some byte-twiddling (using Norton's utilities). However, clearly I need to know what each byte represents in order to make an intelligent guess at what it should be. Secondly, I have a medium term project to display the contents of PK-arc files in various flexible ways, enabling files to be interactively deleted, etc. Again, some knowledge of the format of an archive file is needed. In this latter project, the actual updating of the archive would be done by PKARC and PKXARC. My program would only list the contents in a flexible manner. -- Richard Kingslake JANET: rk@uk.ac.strath.cs ARPA: rk@cs.strath.ac.uk UUCP: !seismo!mcvax!ukc!strath-cs!rk or rk@strath-cs.uucp

It's in a file in PK361.ARC.
