So Dave Curry wants to know who is giving poor ol' Number 6 a hard time, and why. So would we all...OK, I will give it a shot: The only question ever put to #6 is "why did you resign." It is not obvious that #6 KNOWS the answer to the question, but in any case he never answers. If you believe that somebody really wants to know the answer, the question itself suggests that it is the former employer (or a HEAVY rival) that wants to know. So much for the surface elements. But consider that the prisoner is NOT submitted to torture: all his needs are provided, he comes and goes as he pleases (within limits, of course!), and engages in a wide variety of activities (all supervised). The implication, which is perhaps too obvious, is that he isn't so different from you and I...AND he can't get out of the game, AND he can't figure out who's in charge here... =Ned Horvath=
