So what if it is July 7th, I needed a good intro to my quiz. If you like these questions, I can always get more! (boy oh boy) I'll post answers in a week or so. 1. Since you're all feeling patriotic right now, you should have no problem with this one. Everyone knows Francis Scott Key wrote the poem *The Star-Spangled Banner*, but who wrote the music and what was the name of the song it came from? It's not quite right to call it an old English drinking song. 2. While we're on the subject of independence (didn't you notice?), let's find out what the newest independent nation is. I know of one only two years old, can anyone do better? Coup d'etats don't count, nor do the Falklands; only new countries, like the US in 1776 or Panama in TR's presidency. 3. Speaking of Panama, everyone knows no Panamanian ever signed the original canal treaty, but who did? 4. Moving on to the land of Oz, name two (2) movies that Frank Oz appeared without the Muppets. Yes, his face, his body, his voice. They were minor parts, but if you're a real F.Oz-zie fan, you won't have missed him. 5. I've thought of clever ways of tieing the questions together up 'til now, so here are the rest without continuity or transition: Elmer Fudd has received letters, packages and telegrams from at least two of his uncles. Name them. 6. Andy Kaufman claimed until recently to be the World Inter-gender Wrestling Champion, but when he took on a male opponent he was quickly put in a hospital. What was the name of the winner of this bout which ended Kaufman's promising wrestling career so abruptly? 7. An oldie, but a goodie: what was Twiggy's original name? Uncle Walker's Superstation Funtime (Just Kidding)
