[comp.binaries.ibm.pc.d] KERMIT Archive Server now available

jfh@rpp386.Dallas.TX.US (The Beach Bum) (10/15/88)

I have added a KERMIT login to rpp386. To use this, dial (214) 250-6272,
and login as `kermit', no password. You will be deposited into a Kermit
server in a UNIX subsystem root.

A listing of all files can be retrieved from /archive. You may also
request a listing with the `directory' command from within Kermit.

The files are all stored as 16 bit compressed shell archives, except
certain MS-DOS programs, which are stored, generally speaking, as
uuencoded, split, and compressed ARC-compatible archives.

You will have to select `set file name literal' if you are using a UNIX
system. The `set file type binary' has already been done for you on
this end, you will have to do it yourself on yours.
